2012 Favourites

I can't believe 2012 is just about over. It was such a massive year for this country Diamond Jubilee, Olympics, Kate is pregnant, so many things to celebrate as a nation. But also for me I've been in 4 Amateur Dramatic Productions, passed my driving test, I've turned 18, moved school, and made loads of new friends who I know will be life long friends.

Here are some of my favourite things from 2012...
(in no particular order)

My 18th
For my birthday my main present was going to see singin' in the rain in London, it is by far the best production I have ever seen, ever and I've seen quite a few :S But the highlight for me was my birthday meal, where I managed to get just about all my friends together, and I had an amazing time :) I would also like to thank them for there massively generous gifts, gaahh I love you all to pieces!

Performing
In 2012 I was lucky enough to be in 4 shows with amazing Companys, starting with Hello Dolly! and finishing with Robinson Crusoe (which hasn't quite finished yet!)

Reading
I had always been one of those kids who thought reading was boring. And after finishing GSCE english the only thing I had managed to read was Michael Macintyres Autobiography. Now I am loving reading (shock, horror), thanks to authors John Grisham and James Patterson, they are easy to read and quick paced, which I need as my attention span can be very small.

Fearne Nail Polish
(phone photo)
I have no idea what the colour is actually called as it was given to me by Harriet, who you can find here. It's a lovely coral colour, my favourite colour of the year. The consistancy is really nice and it's basically divine!

Swan Leggings
I LOVE these leggings so so much. Nothing more to say there!!

 Cath Kidston Box Bag
I got this back in April (i think) when I went to Cambridge with my friend Harriet. It is the perfect sized bag, its not to big to take into town, perfect for dancing shoes and for general life, plus the pattern is adorable.

Bernard
My car/second home, has given me so much independence as I'm no longer relying on the parentals to take me where I want to go :)

Gingerbread Latte
Gingerbread Latte
This drink has made me a starbucks convert (even tho they have a taxation issue which began at the start of december). Ooft it is sooo nice and yummy.

Great British Bake Off Showstoppers Recipe Book
So far I've only made a couple of things out of here, which you can find here and here .

I'm sure I could have added way more things - but this post was starting to get ridiculously long, so I'd thought I'd finish it hear :)

Happy New Year. I would also just like to say thank you for supporting my little blog, followers I really appreciate you, and anyone else who views this blog, you guys make me feel lovely inside!!

My Main present was Dot by Marc Jacobs (which you may have seen on a wishlist post a while back) eep. I got 3 pairs of Topshop socks ( I have so many pretty socks should I do a collection post??), a couple of random things, a Milky Bar polar bear - was delicious, the jumper which you can see me wearing in my Christmas dinner picture, adorable Bunny Slippers from accessorize ( no more chilly feet), nail polishes in the colours Topshop Celestial and Late Show, Barry M Magnetic Burgundy, Natural Collection Oyster Pink  and Rimmel Rapid Ruby. Gingerbread House

Warning if you are to make one it is not for the impatient (me), but here is my attempt. Even though it took for ever I'm really pleased how it came out in the end.

Here is a link to Harriet's one from last year!

Please comment if you would like a recipe, but recipes are easy to come by if you type 'Gingerbread House' into google :)

Outfit Post

Here is what I wore to our Christmas meal :)

Yep, another Topshop purchase! Only £15 in the sale, so essentially Primark pricing, which is always a good thing. I felt slightly overdressed for a meal out, but I was so desperate to wear it, so I did :)

Christmassy Times :)

Christmas is a perfect opportunity to meet up with people you haven't seen in a while, and that is just what I did on Friday, when we went to the Waffle House for a little Christmas meal :)

Here is some of the amazing food we had...
(bear in mind I didn't eat all this)

Ham with Cheese Sauce and Mushrooms
'award winning oak smoked ham, layered with Lancashire cheddar cheese sauce and local mushrooms sautéed with shoyu'

Bolognaise
'traditional sauce, cooked with organic beef, Italian tomatoes, fresh herbs and red wine served with your choice of either cheese sauce, grated cheese or parmesan'

Christmas Crumble
'Stewed apples and mincemeat with an almond and glace cherry crumble topping, served with dairy ice cream or fresh cream'

Cheesecake
'White chocolate and vanilla seed cheesecake served with a fresh fig compote' But my friend relaced that with chocolate sauce yummy.

The Wafflehouse has restaurants in Norwich and St Albans and I highly recommend you check them out, their food is so scrummy and delicious. I hope my pictures made you feel really hungry when you read this!

Thanks for reading this. Soon to come will be the lovely dress I wore for the occasion.

Wishlist #17 Earrings

Basically I only have a limited collection of Earrings as this pierced ear thing is still relatively new to me, and I'm getting bored of sticking the same thing in my ear everyday. I think all of these would help spice up my collection and give me some much needed variety!

Favourite Going Out Shoes

To be honest I'm abit of a Granny and haven't actually been clubbing yet (OMG), but I do go out occasionally and these have been my go to shoes for 18ths and After-show Partys. As a Granny I'm health and safety conscious I feel nicely strapped in, and they don't have a huge heel but still give me that all important height thing! These beauts are from Office, I got them in the sale for £12 (bargain).

Favourite Jumper - EVER

Jumper and Leggings : Topshop

Right I haven't done an outfit post, and I can't quite find the best place to take pictures now it's cold and dreary. This is my new favourite jumper, it seems to be abit like Marmite  some people love it, some not so sure! But it is so lovely and warm, and I've literally been wearing it non-stop - even though under a coat I look like a size 16!!

Gifts for Her ...

Stuck on what to buy for your sister, mum, gran or girlfriend keep reading :)

Teddy Bears are always a nice present. And this one is perfect to remember 2012 bear, if I was given this it would always remind me of the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

I've seen these in my local store they are so soft, they feel so warm and they're MADE IN BRITAIN!!!

Gift sets like these are always handy for trying new products, that you/or the recipient might not normally try. You never know they might find a holy grail product!

4. iPad 2
Okay abit of a pricey one but... iPads are simply a pleasure to use, are so easy to carry around, sleek and elegant. Geekgasm

5.Beware of the Cat Metal Sign
This sign is so cute, and purrfect for the crazy cat lady in your life.

6. A Cath Kidston Bag
I love Cath Kidston, I'm pretty sure most other girls do to, CK bags are of good quality and look adorable .

7. YSL lipstick
The packaging is gorgeous, and there is barely ever a bad review, so get your girl something refined this Christmas.

And that is all in my mini series of Christmas Gift Ideas, hope you enjoyed reading.

Would be the best Christmas gift if you'd click that follow button :)

Gifts for £15 and under

Stuck on the smaller gifts this Christmas?? Here's some ideas ...

I haven't actually heard of this brand before but 4 nail polishes for £10 ain't too bad at all.

DVDs are always a nice gift and this is one of the best movies of the year.

There are very few people who don't like chocolate on this planet, so you'd be pretty same with this as a gift!

4. Blossom Bath and Body Gift Set
This would make any girly girl smile I think.

5. Bleached Flowers Crushed Mug
Who doesn't enjoy either a Cup of Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate?? Plus this is in one of my favourite Cath Kidston Patterns of the moment :)

6. Penguin Phone Case
This is such a cheap gift (not only for Blackberrys, just happens to be what I have!) and will be appreciated by someone who is fun loving.

7. Life and Laughing : My Story
This is not the big autobiography of 2012, and has been out for a couple of years now. BUT if you know someone who hasn't read it, this book is hilarious and a highly recommended read!!

8. Electric Shock Pen
If you have a friend/ sibling who loves practical jokes this is a must for them, and is very inexpensive as well :)

Gifts for Him...

Unlike some girls I find my Dad and brother easy to buy presents for, but not everyone finds this easy, so here are a few of my suggestions!!

1.With release of the Latest James Bond film and the 50th aniversary this seems like the perfect present for your man. Trust me it smells lovely and does not quickly fade. On the plus side it is one of the cheaper mens fragrances out there!!
2. Socks are a typical man Christmas present, Topman like Topshop always have an array of novelty socks which are perfect for anytime of year. They also have an offer 3 for £7 on aswell.
3. This is a good present for maybe your Dad or your Grandad, or to be honest anyone, But unlike many of the other mugs out there it's not to girly - even tho it's Cath Kidston!

4. This is a gift that always goes down well with my Dad, and its not outrageously expensive.

Hope that has been of help to someone out there :) Or do you have any suggestions?

Wishlist #16

It's less than a month till Christmas. Here are my top picks of the lush Christmas collection woo!

1. 'Those great Christmas traditions of sun, surf and Santa! - A sunny citrus body scrub with hints of floral, to perk up winter skin or get summer skin swimming suit ready.' Is what lush says and to be honest I'm up for it.

2+3. Are both Bubble Bars, which for bathtime products are defiantly better value for money than bath ballistics as these can be used more than once. They are both super cute, been featured in many haul videos on youtube, and are enjoyed by many people.

4. I got my first lush soap for my birthday, and since having it I have had complements for my hands smelling nice which I thought was a tad unusual.  Anywhoo when it runs out I would love to try this one!!

Are you a lush fan like me? Or do you think it's abit of a con and overpriced??If you like this, please remember to click the follow button on the right!!

NOTD number 5

Oh man, I wish these pictures had come out better, but that's artificial light for you!! I mentioned this a couple of posts back, take a look here. This is nails inc's St James, which is like a London bus red, it is such a good quality nail polish, really opaque and didn't really need more than one coat. However I got this with Glamour magazine so it only cost me £2, but actually retails for £11 in Boots, if you are prepared to pay this price, it would probably be worth it. Personally I'd go for something cheaper, such as Barry M and use another coat!!

What's the maximum price you'd pay for a nail polish??

Wishlist #15

Cath Kidston has now been open in Norwich for just over a month, a perfect opportunity for a wishlist me thinks.

1. Another make up bag dude, seriously you have a problem. With 3 make up bags bursting at the seams with make up and nail polish, the word large seems like a good idea.

2.Possibly some of the cutest earrings I've seen and they're sitting on my Christmas list, sooo hopefully they'll be in my ears come Christmas day?!

3. Scissors are probably a weird thing to find on a wishlist, but look at the case guys.

4. Why couldn't I had seen these just before school started back in September, I would have definitely got them, as they're not much more expensive than places such as WHSmith.

Thanks for reading :) What would be on your wishlist from Cath Kidston, comment below!

it's a wonder

So this is the Golden Wonders Bath Bomb, you guessed it from Lush. This is probably one of the most spectacular ones I have had there,as it was a total surprise, who knew it would turn this beautiful colour and contain these cute little stars!
