Neal's Yard Remedy Blogger Event

Hello! This is quite an exciting post today, last week I was invited to my local Neal's Yard Remedies to see the new Frankincense Intense Concentrate and to learn more about the company as a whole! Now when I say Neal's Yard you might think of the Blue Bottles or the Rose Balm, or perhaps no nothing at all.
Time for a quick education to get you all up to speed. Key fact number one, the company has been around for 33 years. All products are Natural and Organic, their Ethos is to have the Safest and Most Healthy Products on your skin, through the power of nature. Ingredients are either sourced and grown in their Devon factory, or from around the world. They are Ethically sourced, helping those who live their. Neal's Yard gets it Frankincense from Kenya, the women who collect get Frankincense from the Frankincense tree, aren't allowed to have their own money. The money they earned was put into a community pot and was used to pay for their children's high school education.
Linking nicely to the product, the Frankincense Intense Concentrate range is an Anti-Ageing range, something I am not really thinking about yet. This includes an Age Defying Intense Cream, Serums, Cleanser, Toner and a Facial Oil and much more. It is definitely worth looking into if Anti-Ageing is what you want, due to the ingredients there is no need to worry about what you are putting on your skin, after all you only get one skin for your life.
We were also shown other products, they have skin care for different types of skin, I was most interested products for Blemish Prone skin. Not only did they have skincare and make up, Neal's Yard embodies a Complete Hollistic Lifestyle, having a selection of Supplements, Teas and a Green Powder. It is about looking after yourself from the inside out, health and well being. Also offering Hollistic Treatments, such as reflexology which was amazing I have never been so zen, even if it was for a short 15 minutes and Massage.

Two Cosy Winter Treats

Hello! The nights are starting to draw in, slowly creeping closer towards Christmas. What more do you want to be cuddled up under a blanket watching films, TV, or youtube, with some tasty treats to accompany you. Here are my suggestions.

For an evening treat and sweet pick me, this is my favourite thing at the moment. A hot mug of Chai Latte, which is better than anything I've tasted in any of the big coffee shops, then dunking in whatever cookies we have sitting in the cupboards, but these cherry and almond cookies from Waitrose are delicious.

Finally...Pumpkin Pie
Pumpkin in the UK is a nightmare to find apart from around Halloween, so I suggest that you buy a job load of it then puree it then keep it in your freezer, like I did to make this. Out of my three treats this one requires the most effort, but is definitely worth it.

Ingredients
350g Sweet Shortcrust Pastry
750g Pumpkin Puree
140g Caster Sugar
1/2tsp Salt
2tsp Ground Nutmeg
1tbsp Ground Cinamon
2 Eggs, Beaten
25g Melted Butter
175ml Milk
Icing Sugar to decorate

Recipe
Preheat Oven to 180C/160C.
Roll out your pastry as thin as you dare, about the height of a pound coin, and line a 22cm Pie Dish or loose-bottomed tart tin. Prick the bottom with a fork (this will stop it puffing up).And chill for 15 mins.
Line with baking paper and baking beans. Bake for 15 mins.
Remover baking paper and beans, and cook for 10 mins. Then leave to cool.
Increase oven to 220C/200C
Meanwhile combine the Caster Sugar, Salt, Ground Spices.
Mix in the Eggs, Butter and Milk. Then add in the Pumpkin Puree. Make sure all ingredients are combined.
Pour the Pumpkin Mixture into the Pastry shell and cook for 10 mins.
Reduce the Temperature to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Bake for 25-40 Mins until the filling has just set.
Once cool duster over icing sugar and serve.

Haul... Nike, MAC, Lush

Hello! So this week I've got a little bonus post, I just got a couple of bits I had been wanting for a lil while now. Lunch breaks are dangerous when you work in the city... oops.

Nike Internationlist Trainers
Being on my feet all day at work means I need comfy shoes, so to go along with my Docs and Converse I got these. I am in love with them. They are a super intense burgandy colour, one of my fave colours all year round, but especially right now. After these two purchases I really need to save my dosh for London town, which naturally I will post all about. They should go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe, always a bonus.

MAC Mehr
This is a matte pinky/(browney) nude colour, which means it is a perfect everyday lip for work, I know its not going to suddenly disappear and if I do need to reapply its not a highly technical exercise, winner all round. This maybe slightly Kylie Jenner inspired umm. A question that is on my mind is 'Do I need/want a proper brown toned 90's nude like Mac Oak?!'

Lush Chritmas Bubble Bars
*Missing File for Holly Golightly , looks like a sparkly silver christmas pudding*

I am not going to describe the products to indepth, as I do not have the abilty, what I will say is though for Bubble Bars are the best value for money as you can use them more than once, and are still amazingly sceneted, and adds a Lush sprinkling of excitment to your bath. Here's what they say.... On Holly Golightly 'Come on in out of the cold and wrap yourself up in this comforting Christmas blanket of a bubble bar. Break the generously-sized pudding into two and crumble under running water. Its festive spice fragrance is like bathing in a hot toddy, perfect for getting you in the Christmas spirit'. On Drummers Drumming 'Drum up some energy with our first musical bubble bar. Made with refreshing and uplifting bergamot, this hits the right note with lovers of strawberries and cream. To use, hold it under running water or swish it around in the bathwater until you get the perfect bubble bath. Remember to pop it on the side to dry out so it will last you longer than the first day of Christmas...'

The Leather Skirt

Hello! Today I am showing you one way in which I would wear this Leather skirt which I featured in a clothing haul all the way back in September.

In this outfit I wanted to wear a range of different textures, the most obvious is the leather skirt in this lovely light stoney colour, paired with my fine knit crop top from Topshop. Then I chucked on this gorgeous deep red velvet shirt, for another texture. This look is tied together with a dark vampy lip and my trusty Docs. For me this is an easy way to wear a leather skirt in the day time, but to amp it up for the evening drop the Docs and pair with a pair of heels, and you'd be ready to go.

Tiger Haul

Hello! I better start by explaining what Tiger is, which isn't the easiest task. It is a Danish Variety Store, expanding through the UK and the rest of the world. I work for my local store so I expect these will keep popping up on the blog oops. We sell anything from Moustache Hangers to Colanders. The mission is to sell a variety of on trend and innovative designed products. Despite the amazing value for money we are no discount store, the focus is design and quality products, which will make customers smile. ANYWAY, onto what I got.

(Starting ^) Batteries £1, Tea light candle holders £1, Tube Squeezer £1, 100 Tea lights £3, Heart Notebook £2, Pillar Candles £1
*Danish Cookies could also been pictured, but I ate them oops*

I've recently gotten into the whole candle thing, something I did not think would happen, which is perfect considering there is a whole wall dedicated to Candles in Tiger, side note which is very instagram worthy! For me the best section has to be the stationary/office section, as it has so many good bits and pieces, another time I will be picking up some more bits and pieces. I am so pleased Tiger has come to Norwich, and that I have a chance to work there.

The Fluffy Jumper

Hello! These two items have both been featured on my blog before, but I loves them and wanted show you another way I have worn them.

From the off I knew I would be wearing this fluffy jumper a lot, its so snuggly and warm, plus the blue is a bit of an unusual colours for this season, so it wasn't like anything alse autumny/wintery I owned. Did anyone else when they were younger have the Tammy skorts? Well that was my last foray into the land of skorts. But this year they are everywhere, so naturally I had to hop onto the band wagon. Enough chat onto the outfit...

I like how the two items go together, paired with my gorgeous white mono converse which I cannot get enough of, creates a really relaxed vibe. The straight line and angles of the skort and the cosyness of the jumper create an unexpected contrast in the outfit.

November Wishlist

Hello! I literally cannot believe its this time of year, Panto rehearsals have started, its fire works season and the going out clothes are filling the shops. I hate the cold, love the clothes a lot. I'm hoping to have occasions to wear nice stuff on, this explains this months wishlist.

1. Topshop brought out the same cut of tee last year in a gorgeous turquoise colour, this duo toned pink and purple literally got my heart racing, and I be needing this in my life, its beautiful.

2. I have a really uncasual love for soft textures in clothing, velvet I think you'll find is indeed a soft texture. I bought a velvet playsuit last year from Topshop, I am thinking maybe this should become a little tradition?

3. Jealousy strikes when I see someone wearing a jumpsuit, as they're so hard to pull off and you have to find the perfect fit.... it also doesn't help that I do not possess a model's body! This is in the petite section so maybe it could work out for me??

4. With this item, I just thought it was cool and a little bit different, nothing to particularly say about it!
