I went to... Disneyland Paris

Hello! This is my first post since my Paris trip and it is absolutely fair to say the trip went by so unbelievably quickly. This is going to be a photo diary, come outfit post, come haul. Something for everyone.

Outfit details time
Can we firstly just say how HOT it was, grey was not the colour to be wearing hahahaha. Obviously I was wearing my Mickey Ears, because when else am I going to wear them?! I wore a grey Mickey Mouse top which I picked up from Primark. In an effort to keep semi cool I wore these extremely baggy culottes (spoiler was still super hot). As with most of my outfits I had my trusty white converse.

It's time for a little haul!
Is it actually possible to got to Disney and not come away with some Disney merch?! I think not. I didn't go as wild as I did in LA but I have a few bits to remember my time.

I have been wanting a Disney Christmas Tree bauble since I went to Disney last year and was gutted I hadn't picked on up. What tree is complete without a little bit of Disney magic?!

A key ring a highly useful purchase. For ages I have had this awful RAF keyring for my car key, and I have been looking for the longest time for a keyring that will clip on and off my main keys.

We have Disney pens for our sign in sheets at work, since I am leaving my life would be somewhat empty without Disney pens in my life.

Finally if you like me have Disney magic withdrawals here is a Spotify playlist I found to bring some magic in to your day!

Thanks for popping by!

What I wear to work - May 2017

Hello and welcome to my second What I Wore to Work post... not done over 1 week as I was super forgetful but here are 4 days worth of outfits. As with the last post I did like this, pictures are in the accessible toilet, sorry!

Tuesday 9th May
The weather was particularly rubbish this day and I was fed up of wearing dark drab colours. So I popped on my brightest jumper, and my red shows - along with my black joni jeans and brightened up the office. (btw I have no idea what is happening with my hair!)

Friday 12th May
I call this my man repeller outfit. Good job I'm not looking for no man then! This is also literally the comfiest outfit - no one knows you're wearing trainers under the desk. My culottes are from New Look, my stripey top was in the Jack Wills sale and I'm wearing a vintage levi's denim jacket, obviously I took this off in the office.

Saturday 13th May

I think this is the most casual outfit I have worn to work. To be fair it was Breakin' Convention, which brought the best hip hop acts from Norwich and around the world to the theatre. TBF I would have looked out of place dressed super smart.

Monday 15th May

This outfit easily conforms most closely to the smart casual dress code at work. As you can see black jeans are an absolute necessary in my work wear wardrobe in the cooler months- which I wish would end. Whilst being perfect for work this outfit is perfectly on trend, dusty pink and ruffles. Then loafers which seem to be going nowhere thanks to Gucci.

Thanks for popping by!

The Gingham Wishlist

This is the skirt that inspired this post. I saw it on Kate La Vie's insta, I loved how she styled it and would rather like to add it into my wardrobe.

This item definitely combines two of the biggest trends this spring summer, whilst this is such an interesting look, I think it would be super flattering on most figures.

3. Shirt dress
There are loads of dresses like this on the high street, this would be perfect for work, or casual wear with a nice pair of sandals.

4. Ruffle bardot top
Imagine how nice this would be to wear on a warm summers evening. Ahh that seems a long while off, but I would like this top in preparation.

Possibly my favourite item on this list, I just love how lazy oaf whilst being on trend is always super fun no matter what they bring out. I think this would be perfect for work, as I am always waiting on lunch time to arrive - easily my favourite part of the day.

I love a statement shoe, and I keep going to stare at them on my pinterest board. The contrast of the flowers against the gingham I find extremely pleasing.

I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Current Favourites May 2017

Hello, I thought it was about time to update you on my favourite things if the moment.

I was going to save these beautiful shoes for last, but they deserve all of the spotlight, the centre of the stage.
I like to call these my Gucci loafers. *Spoiler* Definitely not Gucci, they are from the far more affordable Topshop. They are the KARPENTER Loafers in Red. Cue all the heart eye emojis 😍. I love pairing these with black trousers, however they really come into their own when worn with blue denim.

Talking of blue denim, Dungarees.
I'm going to be honest here, finding a pair which actually fit my body was a struggle. If your body type is straight up and down, you do not understand how lucky you are in the dungaree world. If you have a big butt and thighs, you need to head to Fat Face. These are the ones I purchased. I'm sorry that the picture they're not styled, but hold your horses, they should be featured in an exciting post very soon.

A total side step now. Vanilla Latte. Why had I not discovered this dreamy coffee concoction before?! I have one 6/7 mornings, to be frank if I don't start my day with a Vanilla Latte, they day is potentially ruined. The Nescafe Gold Vanilla Latte is currently on offer, so this is the perfect time to try it.

Music Favourites:

You Matter to Me from Waitress, this song is so darn pretty and it makes my heart so happy. It doesn't sound like your stereotypical musical theatre song and that is part of the reason why I love it so much. The other song I really like from Waitress is What Baking Can Do.

An (kinda) oldie but a goodie is Take Me or Leave Me from Rent. I am OBSESSED with this song, a day is not complete if I haven't listened to this during the day.

Why you should care about politics

Hi, are you in the 18-25 age group? This one is for you.

My friend recently said when she saw me sharing tweets and statuses about the general election, it was something a 40 year old would write. Implying that it is uncool to care about politics.

My argument is, our age group is going to be more effected by decisions made by Government than older people. Politics effects EVERY aspect of our lives.

Are you moaning about the NHS long waiting times, not high quality enough? POLITICS

Did you feel like you didn't learn enough or well enough at school? POLITICS

Brexit? POLITICS

Tax avoidance from large multi-national companies? POLITICS

Feel like the minimum wage, isn't enough to live on? POLITICS

Equality, whether thats for women, LGBT or BAME? POLITICS

Our age group is proven to be more Liberal than the older generations. However if we're not voting it will be the older generations who get to decide who is in place to run our country and decide how "hard" or "soft" Brexit will be, they are generally more conservative. A majority of older voters, voted for a government who made University Tuition Fees ridiculously high. The same government who some people would argue is ruining the NHS by underfunding it.

So why should you care about Politics? Because its effects your future, and your children's future.

I am not saying you should vote for the Labour Party, but for me personally they are the party who match my world views and genuinely seem to care about the UK population. People like Jeremy Corbyn and Clive Lewis, aren't playing the political game, they want to make positive changes to improve the lives of people in the UK.

That's my bit said.
