August Faves

Hello! We are at the end of yet another month, how crazy is that. I have 18 days before I move in the Halls which is the most crazy thing ever to me, its crept up on me so quickly!

Brown Eyeshadow look

This month my favourite make up look has been pairing the Maybelline 24 Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze with my brow toned eye shadows from the MUA Heavens and Earth Palette, for a premature Autumnal look, with lashings of mascara!

Remember my Lush haul from last week? Sunnyside has made it to my favourites. The weather in England is definitely deteriorating into more autumnal weather. But the citrusy scent makes me feel like Summer might be trying to hold one. I'm fan of all the Lush Bubble Bars I've tried, it makes lots of nice bubbles and your bathroom will smell divine.

I have loved Interiors for a long time now, I think I really got into it when I played on Sims, I would just spend hours building and decorating houses more than anything else. Now that I don't play Sims everyday, I fill my need for interiors with pinning inspiration onto Pinterest. I'm not going to lie, I'm so proud of my board it all looks so pretty and I wish I could live in the pictures for a day haha!

I can't believe it took me so freaking long to watch this film, having said that at the start of the year I was rather obsessed with Into The Woods so I had little time for anything else hahaha! The story broke my heart into a thousand little pieces. Most of us know who Stephen Hawking is, but before this film came out I didn't know a huge amount about him. It was a truly mind opening film, seeing how cruel and dehumanising MS can be as an illness, but also him fighting to overcome it and keeping his humour despite extremely difficult moments. Also the brilliance of his intellect was astounding. There is absolutely no surprise why Eddie Redmayne won that Oscar, it was an outstanding performance.

Apparently this month I was a fan of things that make me cry! I had been eagerly awaiting to see Les Mis in the West End ALL SUMMER, then the day finally came (22nd August). It was everything I imagined and more, I had seen it on the National Tour, but it was miles better, miles better than the film. The cast were stupidly talented, I cried at the end because I never wanted it to end. I can tell I really loved something if I cry because its ended. Highlight of the year (so far) for definite!!

Little Lush Haul

Hello! By now if you've been reading my blog for a while, you will know I'm a total 'Lushie' and I always like to have some Lush bits in the bathroom ready for me to use. Here's what is currently awaiting me. . .

The Comforter
(i've already had a few uses from this OOPS)

An old favourite, there will most of the time be one of these in my bathroom, as I love the scent and it make great bubbles.

Butterball

This is for when my skin is feeling dry and I need an instant hit of moisture. After using this bath bomb I don't need to faffing around with moisturiser.

Sunnyside

Finally this one is a gift, how amazing does it look? It has a lovely fresh and citrusey scent, this is one of the Oxford Street store products which has now made its way around the country. I am really excited to try this one.

Oreo Cheesecake Recipe

Hello! I cannot tell you how long I've been meaning to make an Oreo Cheesecake for, definitely over a year, at least. Now I have, now I can tell you how!

How dreamy does that look though?!?!?! I'm a little bit pleased with myself. . .

Ingredients:
28 Oreos (24 for the base)
75g Butter Melted
225g Cream Cheese
180ml Sour Cream
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract.
4 Eggs

9 inch Spring-form/Loose bottom tin

Recipe:
Set oven at 175 C/155 C Fan/350 F
Blitz 24 Oreos in a food processor then mix with melted butter.
Press onto the bottom of the tin, using the back of the spoon to ensure no gaps or holes.
Put into Fridge for 20 mins/Freezer for 10 mins to set a little bit.
Whisk together Cream Cheese and Vanilla Extract.
Gradually add the eggs 1 at a time, continue whisking.
When the mixture is combined, crumble in the remaining Oreos.
Pour filling onto base.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Lower temperature by 20 degrees C or 68 Fahrenheit, Cover to prevent burning then cook for another 15-20 minutes, keeping an eye on it!
Remove from oven, leave to cool.
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.

I found this recipe online, but tweaked it as the original recipe had a few holes in it, hopefully mine is greatly improved!

Zoella Beauty | Fizz Bars

Hello! Just a quick little post today about the Zoella Fizz Bars, as you may have guessed from the title.

I'm not going to lie if I didn't watch youtube I wouldn't have bought these, however I do and I did.

I had both the original scent and the new tutti fruity scent. I say had because I used them. They doing nothing visual special, pop them into the bath and they fizz. Where they do come into their strength is, the scent. They are both sweet scents the second being more fruity. I like to use them when I am washing my hair in the bath as they don't interfere with anything, or when I have a lightly scented bubble bath.

They are £5 each from Superdrug or Feel Unique. If you are a bath hair washer or a bubble bath user I would highly recommend them. They also look pretty sat in your bathroom waiting to be used. They'd make a great gift for anyone who loves baths, or is around the age of 13 who is obsessed with Zoe herself.

I have my eyes on her body sprays as they genuinely smell really nice, so who knows there could be a little review for them up at some point.

PS I did have my own photograph, however the background had a stain on it, hence the use of these pictures. Sorry!

Garnier vs St Tropez | Gradual Tan

Hello! Today's post is going to be a comparison of the Garner Summer Body and the St Tropez Gradual Tan, in principal these are really similar products so look great to compare against each other.

But first I thought I would side step quickly and say why I prefer Gradual Tan as I know its not everyones cup of tea. Firstly I am pale, and don't want it to be obvious that I have faked tan.  You know when people are suspiciously dark, then you see them a few days later and they're pale again. I like the illusion I am actually tanned. They're also good if you have a natural tan and want to pro-long it.

Obviously the Garnier option is the cheapest out of the two. It has a more watery consistency than the St Tropez one, so I find you use less product where as St Tropez is thicker and requires a heavy hand to put on. The Garnier one definitely has more moisturising properties. Yes you think Garnier has the upperhand here. However when you wake up in the morning with the Garnier you have an orangeyness about you and a certain patchiness. Fear not, when I woke up after using St Tropez, I felt like my skin had a very slight olive tonedness to it, and the all important even coverage.

Boots Haul | Beauty

Hello! On Tuesday I somehow ended up in Boots, I had 20 minutes of my lunch break left, so I thought I should have a browse. Money was spent!

Two out of the Four were repurchases as I had ran out of things, so these were necessary purchases.
*Clockwise*
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent, Rimmel Match Perfection in 010 Light Porcelain, Collection Lasting Perfection in Fair 1 and finally Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107.

The repurchases were the powder and concealer, two things I cannot live without and use every time I wear make up. They are both hugely talked about in the blogosphere so enough about those.

In the last month I have been loving Zoella, I went off her for a little while. But in a moment of boredness I rewatched her Vlogmas. Which is what made me want the lipstick I purchased, I now have an orange red, a true red and a dark red lipstick. I'm pretty much set up for red lipsticks I think.

My previous foundation was Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua, and its run out *cries all the rivers*. I do really like it, but with going to Uni soon I'm trying not go crazy with the money as there are lots of things I need to purchase. For a drugstore foundation this get pretty good reviews and has spf in, it was on offer I went for it.

Products on my face!

August Wishlist

Hello! Much to my mother's surprise, I really don't want that many things. Normally I have to really narrow down wishlists. I'm really uninspired atm, with current fashions, and the British Summer being a bit naff. Alas I have found some bits, 2 classic items and one homeware.

1. I love my little Casio gold watch to pieces, but some times I feel like wearing something different. Olivia Burton is a little pricey, however I rely on a watch so much and feel so lost when I don't know what the time is.

2. Literally I have been lusting after this for the longest time. Look at how pretty it is, I really cannot stop my feelings right now.

3. This is more with my uni room (to be) in my mind. I highly suspect there will not be a good mirror and light combination in the room. This is not hugely expensive, looks nice and I can move it about.
