April Faves

Hello, April's faves is definitely a mixed bag a bit of beauty, jewellery, theatre, youtube and music... SO lets get crackalacking!

Cats the musical

If you're going to theatre for a story maybe this one isn't for you, just a heads up. For a quick over view the musical is based around the Jellicle cats, which are a Tribe of Cats. They have all come together for the Jellicle Ball, to see which Cat will go to the heavyside layer. Throughout the musical you are told different stories of the Cats to see how they got to where they are now, in that way it is full of little stories. It is held together as you see whether the tribe has decided to accept Grizabella the Glamour Cat back into the tribe. This show is definitely about Spectacle, with special effects, amazing costumes and the dancing was just on point. I decided that my cat Tibbles was the Rum Tum Tugger. A highlight has to be Mr Mistoffelees, first of all the dance just WOW, that dancer who was Joseph Poulton just needs a shout out he just stunned the audience. Oh and he had velvet sparkly leggings so, it was going to be good wasn't it?! Okay my rave is over!! Cats is currently touring around the UK and Europe so get to a performance if you can.

Blue Nail Polish
After rocking Barry m's black red for a while, I decided it was time to drag myself away and have a more springy hue on my nails. I mentioned this a lot of times last year, including my 2013 Favourites. Its just like a really vibrant pastel and I always get compliments when I wear it.

Paolo Nutini Caustic Love
Since Rosalind and I are going to see a certain Mr Nutini I thought it was time to stay away from the show tunes for a little while. Now this is gonna be a terrible description and make me sound like a loser so I'm just gonna say its just so cool and chill but not really but kinda chill. I just really like it. Now here is Rosie's opinion 'It's a soul album with hints of jazz funk that highlight Paolo Nutini's talents of voice variation and musicality; it generally shows his passion for music and the development of his maturity to. HELL YEAAA' You should have the more of an idea now. Here is a youtube video of 'Iron Sky' from the album recorded live at Abbey Road.

Dainty Necklace
I recently rediscovered this necklace from my Nan back when I was a solid 13 years old. It was a bit old for me then, but now I'm older and not so into cheap looking jewellery I love it, its so small and dainty, and just so classic, something I know I will always be able to wear.

Gold Chain
I have been lusting after a chain for ages, and now I've got this one I've pretty much been wearing it ever since I got it, its not too in your face but enough, guess what its in my faves and I REALLY like it!

So Totally Vlog
April contained the Easter holidays, so that meant alot of time to procrastinate whilst not doing revision for my A-Levels. This when I stumbled across Lexi's youtube channel and pretty much a marathon of a videos for a whole two weeks, because thats what you do when you first subscribe to a youtube channel isn't it? Her style is cooler and edgier than mine will ever be, this is deffo a new fave for me.

What has been your highlights from the last month?

Current Fave Make Up Look

Hello, just a super quick one today. Since my bold lip obsession began, I have just been loving a slick of mascara and letting the lipstick do the talking. A bold lip look is also great when you're cba with your outfit, and makes you look pulled together, which is always a good thing!

In this picture I am wearing Depth from Topshop which I featured in a recentish lipstick haul.

My mum's thoughts: 'you look like you're going to a ghosts and ghouls party' Thanks mother.

Spring Hair Styles

Hello, today I have three easy hairstyles to share with you perfect for spring...

First up we have the High Pony Tail, which may seem boring but you can always put in an hair accessory to brighten the look up!

Today I went for a hair scrunchie, the 90's trend is still going strong so why not? The high pony is super easy but shouldn't be forgotten about!!

Next we have Two High Buns which I saw sported by Kylie Jenner before she got her hair did.

What you will need:
Two Hair Bands and some hair pins

Put your hair in two high pony tails.

Twist your hair

Put into a bun shape then pin into place!

Do the same on the other side and voila, done!

Finally Zoella Braids, which look so cute, link to her video here.

Additional tips to the video: You can hairspray the ends so you're not trying to conceal hair bands.

When you're crossing the plaits clip back the front section so it doesn't get in your way.

I hope you enjoyed my post, and gave you inspiration hehe! There will be more spring posts to follow this so look out for them.

Barbie Girl Lipstick - MAC Candy Yum Yum

Hello, it was only fairly recently three new lipsticks entered my life, but recently MAC Candy Yum Yum a vibrant bright pink has made a lovely addition to my lipstick stash, which keeps on growing hehe!

My thoughts:
Good lasting power as you'd expect from a Matte lipstick from Mac (think this is my fave formula so far)
Highly pigmented
Brightens up a dull ensemble clothes wise
I think this will be really nice to wear as the weather gradually gets warmer!
Over all a happy gal!

My Mum's thoughts:
'Perfect for a neon party' A genuine quote haha

April Wishlist

Hello! Shit happens and this is late, but this girl still wants some more things in her life so lets get crack-a-lacking!

1. The weather in England is starting to be 'springy' and i just want some 'converse-esque' shoes but with out paying converse price, you get me. These ones from new look are super cute, they would look nicely with pretty dress throughout spring and summer, and have a lil bit of bling that I am very game for, plus they would look nice with the socks I featured here.

2. In the last few days I have been wearing a really pretty dainty necklace my nan got me years ago now, i just love how simple and delicate it is, and I would really like some more.

3. I've been seeing ripped jeans do the rounds recently, these are definietly a sunbeamsjess inspired item, you may or may not know I love that gals youtube channel. I just like them nothing more, besides I don't have that many jeans hanging about in my wardrobe anyway.

4. When I first saw this up on the topshop website something just really grabbed me about it, it has the sport vibe which is still doing its rounds around the high street, which is contrasted by the water colour type imagery on the sleeves, something a bit different I thinks.

March Faves

Hello, I'm pretty sure I missed my February faves due to being stupidly busy but I'm here with what I've been loving!

Spotify
I feel I am rather late to the Spotify train but I am loving it, and I can just about deal with all the adverts, i'm not paying for it! It has about 95% of what I want to listen to, which shockingly is mainly show soundtracks. My favourites have to be Hairspray, Rent and Matilda the musical. I just wish it had the Addams family the musical though, but we can't be winners all the time.

TV Faves

Mr Selfridge
'Mr Selfridge tells the story of 'Mile a Minute Harry', a man with a mission to make shopping as thrilling as sex. Harry wanted to indulge and empower women and so he opened the doors of his lavish department store, on London's famous Oxford Street.' Last Sunday this completed its second series. I originally watched series one last year out of curiosity, then before I knew it I was hooked. Now I am waiting for the next series, next year... patience will be necessary.

The Musketeers
'A thrilling world of action, adventure and romance inspired by Dumas' legendary characters.' To be truthful I've been enjoying this for most of the year so far but I haven't mentioned it and quite frankly it would be a crime not to. Period Drama Check! Action Packed, Check! Hot Guys, (Aramis) Check!Oh my god, I just LOVE this programme. What am I going to do with my Sunday evenings now both these programmes have finished? TV suggestions please :)

Mac Russian Red
This was featured in this recent haul. I wanted a red with a blue under tone because it makes your teeth appear whiter, and I have blue eyes so I thought there must be some logic there! (who even am I). Plus it has been recommended a lot on youtube and on beauty blogs.

Hairspray
Between the 18th and 22nd I was doing what I love more than anything else, performing. I was in my schools production of Hairspray as Amber. I just had so much fun, my favourite response to her was from Ms Powel my erm shall we say quirky dance teacher 'you were just soooo Naughty!'. I had so much fun in the performances obviously, and the rehearsal period although it was long I loved it as well. Now all I have at school is stinky A-Levels.

They are my favourites for this month! Hope you enjoyed the post :)
