January Faves

Hello! Its an end of another month, despite it being January its been a pretty good month. I started of the month with panto (with the end resulting in post show blues), but I have had hairspray rehearsals to keep my show addiction ticking over, I went to the cinema for the first time in ages to see Anchorman 2, I've seen my friends who I missed over Christmas #lamealert, I got my ballet exam result back and it was A LOT better than I thought... I can't pin it down exactly its just been a good month I guess!

Onto my favourite products and ting.

Beauty Bits

Mac Rebel... I did a post about this here. I love this it is 100% my new fave lipstick, and it has made me want some more such as Russian Red and Candy yum yum.

Barry M Black Red
It would be typical for me not be wearing this when I want to feature wouldn't it! I've been lusting after this for ages but just hadn't bought it, so I was super happy when I got it for Christmas. I think it looks nice with any skin tone, looks quite sophisticated and sleek.

Lush Products
I did a post here where I showed you guys what I had picked up the sale. Obviously I can't show you some of the stuff but my favourite product so far has to be the Star Light Star Bright, which is a bath melt it felt super luxurious and left my skin feeling smooth, it did totally mess up the bath as it left silver all over the bath and I had to clean up boo! I would highly recommend it if Lush bring it out this year.

Clothing and Accessories

Tartan Leggings
Yes you've seen these 3 times so you get the idea!

My Onesie
This is the main reason for the lack of ootd's because I literally get home and put this on straight away, meaning I don't photograph what i'm wearing #badblogger. But its so comfy and warm, and its pretty cute as well haha!

Casio Watch
I knew this would be a favourite as soon as I got it why? It's gold I love me some gold jewellery I do, I think it has a kind of classic vibe as I'm pretty sure Casio have been making this style for many moons, finally I hate being late so I love the fact its digital so I can be precisely on time etc (ew such a virgo thing to say haha)

Randoms

Mary Berry Autobiography
I found this super easy to read, it just felt like Mary was sitting there telling me all her stories, she has lived such an exciting and varied life, with many highs and lows, to make her the person we all know and love on the Great British Bake Off. I especially love the stories on her childhood because it really is from Yester-year or like out of the Famous Five or something. I was really sad when I had finished reading it, and I can imagine that I will read it again at some point!

Anything Goes Soundtrack
I put this Cole Porter classic in my Car because I'm watching the show at the theatre and I like to know the songs before I go to see a musical. I love the music from 1930's that of Porter, the Gershwin Brothers and Irving Berlin. The music will never get old, it just makes me feel so good. It made me super excited to see the production. I especially like the Song Blow Gabriel Blow it has been stuck I my head for days and days!!!

Sunbeamsjess
This girl is one of my favourite youtubers, so not really a 'January' fave, despite her not uploading that often at the moment I keep finding myself watching her old videos at the moment, I love her style not that I could get away with most of it, but I love getting inspiration from her, and I have got a few items because of her, and have definitely gotten into vampy colours because of her!

Tom Fletcher
You all know him as one of the members of McBusted, but do you know he's got his own youtube channel... maybe not? Recently he's started to vlog more, and for someone insanely nosey its interesting to see what a pop star gets upto when they're just being their normal selves... is that weird? But anyway pop on over there and look for yourself.

Ooh that was a long one but I hope you enjoyed it!

way to wear: Sleek Vintage Romance Palette #1 Everyday

Hello!

Is it just me or as the blogging/vlogging world gone mad for the neutral palette? Don't get me wrong, they're alright but they are much of a muchness, I want to change things up with this Palette from sleek, all the colours are really pigment so only just dip your brush lightly into the shadows. For me the star of this show is the second line you can get a killer red-toned smokey eye which looks gorgeous for a night out, it has three beautiful golden colours which were fabulous over the festive period (although three was a bit over kill), a matte brown, im sure one of the gold's could've been replaced with another matte brown (darker maybe) Sleek you paying attention? And a navy which im not quite sure what to do with!

I'm going to show you an everyday look which wore to school the other day. (I thought doing this in the morning I would have decent lighting, oh how wrong I was #lovewinter)

I used ? and ?. I put ? all over the lid, then I put ? to give me some definition. If you're not an eye shadow wearer normally this might be a bit heavy for an everyday but I think its perfectly fine and I wore it school that day!

Wearing those tartan leggings again

Hello! Long time no see, and these leggings are the reason, I wanted to do more OOTD's but I keep wearing the same old leggings again and again! Something different in this out fit though, I wore my brogues for the first time in ages they are definitely one of the most neglected item in my wardrobe but I'm trying to wear them more at the moment. I think they really work well with this outfit which I would say is more of a 'heritage' kind of look to me with the tartan and the jumper I have chosen.

 Hope you enjoyed this post!

Tartan Leggings Outfit #2

Hello! My last post was how I wear these leggings more casually, but a girl can't always be casual and wants to dress up from time to time!

I paired the leggings with a plain black top as I still really wanted them to be the statement in my outfit!

In my eyes a pair of heeled black boots automatically dresses something up without much effort at all!

I personally love gold jewellery so popped on some of my favourite pieces.

Then because I live in the UK I added a cropped cream jumper to keep me warm if I wanted to, of course you could then add a coat as well becuase it is winter over here.

I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for popping by!

Casual Tartan Outfit

Hello! In my Christmas Goodies post you might have seen I got some tartan leggings which I loved, at first I wasn't entirely sure what to wear them with as the print isn't subtle and they're bright red, so for the day time they need to be calmed down...

I chose to pair them with my trusty tan boots which are on their way out unfortunatley and an oversized jumper.. this is a super comfy outfit and an easy way to wear my leggings!

On a side note these leggings are from Jack Wills so they're not the cheapest but I would highly recommend their leggings as they are so comfortable and you do pay for the quality.

please not it is interesting lighting my face is not actually orange!!

Leggings Jack Wills (STILL IN THE SALE), Boot and Jumper Old
I'm also going to do an evening look for these bad boys so keep your eyes pealed for that!!

MAC Rebel

Hello!

I finally bit the bullet and bought MAC Rebel wooo, I've wanted it for ages, it is described as 'a mid-tone cream plum', it marks my first step towards vampy lips, as previously I've only really worn colours that are 'your lips but better colours'. As a newbie to MAC can I just comment on how good this smells, I know its not that important it doesnt smelly granny like or like a synthetic sweetie smell which I don't like. In case you're wondering its a Sation finish, I like how you can build up the colour how I like to wear it or but a little bit on and smudge it in for a plummy tint. I think its lasting power is really good and doesnt seem to fade awkwardly, I am really darn pleased I've got this and now I want more, I have been seduced by a lipstick this tale will continue!

Look how blue it makes my eyes look!!

Lush haul

Hello! I've been wanting to do this post for a couple of days but I havent been able to, but here we are!

You might know but i'm a lush fan, which maybe heading towards addict but I think I have control at the moment. So after Christmas I took advantage of the 50% off sale, aaahh them words I don't know when I'll see them again I picked up a couple of my faves and some products I hadn't tried previously. Before I even looked properly at my purchases I was impressed with the lengths they go to keep to their 'ethics' the packaging is made from potato starch and the 'plastic' was cellulose both biodegradable.. why do not more places do this and the postage and packaging costs were not huge either. Onto my haul..

2012/13 Faves Magic Wand Bubble Bar and Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

I love the scent of the bubble bar as it is the same as the snow fairy shower gel which I haven't bought because generally their shower gels are overpriced. Out of all the bath products I think the bubble bars are the best value as you can at least get 4-5 baths out of them. my only explanation for re-purchasing this can be seen in this post right HERE just look at it I insist!!

Christmas Eve Bubble Bar
This is a lush classic in my mind... here is what they say about it 'This bubble bar was invented for those times when you are getting ready for a big event. Soak in the bath and relax in mountains of bubbles and rise with a hint of sensual jasmine fragrance lingering on your body' Ooh sensual I like the sound of that very much!

Star Light, Star Bright
I'm pretty sure this was a new thing as I haven't seen it before, this is the only bath melt which I purchased and I'm super excited because it should make my skin feel all lovely when I get out of the bath. Lush say 'Catch a falling star and put it your... bath' That is precisely what I intend to do!

Bombardino
I had wondered how this delicious Lemon Meringue Pie smelling bath was related to festivities but through the quickest bit of research there is actually a drink, had around this time of year in Italy especially at ski resorts. What does lush say...'Sit back and relax in a bath of creamy Alpine indulgence'

Secret Santa Ballistic
For this one its best to leave it to Lush themselves me thinks 'Modelled on the original Lush shop29 Poole Highstreet, this is our very own Santa's grotto. The fragrance was created to emulate the rich smell of essential oils inside the shop, and there's even a minature red father christmas bath bomb inside' Service to say I'm very excited for this one!

So White Bath Bomb
I got this one as a a kind of joke to myself  because its sounds like snow white and it has the apple sent a going on AND was in Snow White over christmas so its a sentimental one this one! Lush says... 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'

Ponche Shower Gel
Finally my last purchase, as I said at the top I don't normally buy Shower Gels from lush as I think they are overpriced! But it was half price which at £2.15 was still overpriced I got it anyway. I love the smell of this and I hope it is damn well good because it oughta be!!

Thanks for popping by!

January Wishlist

Hello! I know we've just had Christmas however I am ashamed to say there will always be something else on my wishlist, thinking about it I am really happy with my wardrobe and I don't feel at the moment there is anything I am pining for. But I am not happy with the state of my skin and feel I could do with some things to help it out a bit! So here is what i have my beady eyes on...

4.  MAC Rebel

1. This is meant to help clear out your pores and impurities and give your skin a bit of a detox really, and its designed for Oily skin aka ma face! I really want to give it a try because my skin has been through hell and back for panto slathering on grease paint make up everyday for a week, and even after a really thorough triple cleanse, yes not even double my face just don't feel totally clean you get me?

2. Despite the oil slick that my face is I sometimes feel it looks a little dull and doesn't lock in good moisture (is this even terminology!?!!) anyway if Caroline Hirrons says its good its damn well worth a try!

3. Yes we're still on skin... This is an exfoliating toner.. i.e a chemical toner so you don't have the little beads to remove dead skin cells etc it just does it! I think this is a lot better than moving any bacteria around the face... Now I just have to get hold of it, which will be tricky!

4. WHAT not skin stuff!? In the past few months I have really been loving darker lips, this lipstick in fact has been on both my 2012 and 2013 Christmas lists and my birthday list, its definitely time to get it myself I can simply wait and hope no longer!!!

Thanks for popping by!

2013 highlights

Hello! Where has 2013 gone it has been such a good year for me, I have the best friends in the world (you know who you are) and i've been lucky enough to do some fabulous things!

And i wanted to share them with you!
My Year started of with Panto... which funnily enough is how it ended. Last time round I was Poll the parrot in Robinson Crusoe and this time I'm Brainy the Dwarf in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, there is truly nothing better than spending Christmas doing panto with just the loveliest people. Robinson was so special for me as it was the first panto I had done since I was a child, if you ever get the chance to be involved with a panto do it!!!

In February I saw Top Hat at the Aldwych Theatre in the West End, I really cannot explain my love for it, I did a quick little review here, so i don't chat too much!
Playhouse Creatures, my highlight was definitely the Rehearsal period we just had soo much fun together and became really close, I'm gonna be lame guys BUT i'm always going to cherish it in my heart, even though I didn't like my character <3 p="">
This year we also went on our first family holiday in years to Cornwall, it was such a beautiful and idyllic place, good weather would've helped but I really want to go back at some point and appreciate it all again!
Just some of my lovely friends who I love to hang out with, and look how pretty they are as well sometimes I feel like the ugly duckling. Basically with out being soppy I love you guys <3 p="">

Thanks for reading and here's to a great 2014 where I will turn 20 woaaaahhh :s
