Stationery Haul | September 2017

Hello! It's that time of year where all shops are packed to the brim with stationery as it is back to school time, I'm obviously not going back to school -however I am a bullet journaller and I do get some bits and bobs for work as well!

My favourite places to get stationery from are Wilko, Paperchase and Tiger.

Pastel highlighters
Washi Tape
Colouring pens
Pink leather look notebook
Z Pens

Bullet journal
I have two bullet journals, one I use for work which is done using the typical bullet journal method. Then a more creative one I use as at home, which is more of a typical journal. For the 'home' bullet journal I purchased this Leuchtturm 1917 with cream pages and squares.

Here is my monthly layout for September. I went for a super girly theme as September is my birthday month. You can see I've used my washi tape from this haul, pastel highlighters and a Girl Power postcard from Paperchase.
If you would like to see a bullet journal post, just holla and I will put one together.

Collective Haul | Tiger, Topshop, Ebay, Amazon

Hello! I haven't done a haul in a while, so I thought I would share the collective which I have managed to gather together with you today. I'm going to leave my favourite purchase for last, I'm already placing a bet on it being featured in my July Favourites.

Random Bits

Strawberry Bunting - Tiger
I am fully aware I am lacking a party for this bunting at this very moment in time, however, there will be that moment when there is a need for it and I will not have to go out searching for any.

Memory Card - SanDisk Extreme Pro 16GB
I am forever deleting things on my camera as my memory card was too small, I chose this one because it has plenty of storage space and is high speed so it's perfect for videos.

Diary
Turns out you cannot use a random notebook as I diary, things get confusing and you don't when you're working etc. Also this will be perfect for Uni, it has a timetable in the front and I'll easily be able to see when my deadlines are.

Boots

Tan!
Like every other British Basic Bitch, I hate being pale especially in the summer. My favourite type of tan is a gradual tan, they're a bit more work BUT they're easier to maintain and top up. Boots had an offer on, I went for Garnier Summer body which I've tried I think works really well and the St Tropez one.

Fashion!

The Elephant Trousers
I'm going to say this, these are the perfect trousers for summer, they're light and airy, plus they have elephants on them. Leading on from my last purchase they're good for covering up and bad fake tanning experience or to give your skin a break from the sun, without boiling you.

Black Joni Jeans
I feel like Black Jeans are an essential in anyone's wardrobe, and now I have my own. Not much to say there, they are really comfy though as they are that stretchy jeans material, rather than a totally stiff denim.

The Silver Bag
I told you I had left the best for last didn't I? I'd say this is a small to medium bag, its in a satchel style its gorgeous and it's silver soooo yes amazing. To make it even better it was £10 in the Topshop sale! I'm literally obsessed with this, I cannot stop showing this to people.

Crochet Top Outfit

Hello! This is my first style post in a while, I just really hate that awkward in between season situation but last week we had some borderline summery weather and I could finally wear my crochet top which I featured way back in my March Haul.

The details

one must dance whenever one can

Sunglasses: Tiger, Top and Trousers: Ebay, Bandeau: Primark, White Mono Leather Converse

This outfit is perfect for when you want a totally laid back look, but still with some interest because of the patterned trousers and the ombre aspect of the top.

May Fitness Update

Hello! Its roughly a month since I last posted my first fitness type post 'Fitness begins now', so I thought I was a due an update... not sure if this is actually interesting to anyone.

I kept up with my routine which was Gym 3 times a week and yoga on the off days. I'd say a month later I have kept to that. So a pat on the back for myself. However in the next 4 weeks I really want to be able to include some kind of class, just so I don't get bogged down in doing the same thing all the time. Over the last 4 weeks I have used the bus significantly less to get to work and have been using the ole bike or just simply walking.

I have two videos that I have specifically enjoyed following on YouTube. The first being the 'I really like you squat challenge' from Blogilates, as the ole legs is somewhere I am focussing on ATM. This is short, and is good worked in with other videos to have your own personalised session. Secondly is the 'Sweaty Betty barreASANA' workout. I'm going to write my thoughts after completion, brb, right I'm back! This obviously a longer workout and I'd say it covers all areas of the body. I'm not going to say I find this easy, in fact, I find it near impossible, especially the first part of the video I have to take breaks.

Linking on nicely, I have some fitness purchases from Tiger. Since I have been liking the ole Yoga I decided it was time to get a Yoga Mat £15 and a Yoga Block £2. Yoga equipment can get pretty pricey, so this is a good deal I'd say. Doing yoga on my carpet is okay, but I have the fear of carpet burns and I couldn't say no to the pretty colours!

One final note, each month I am going to try 1 new healthy recipe, hopefully soon you will be seeing a post on Sweet Potato Brownies, which I am equally nervous and excited about!

April Haul | Tiger, Ebay, Gym

Hello! I felt really rather spendy after payday and spendy I was, so now I'm on a spending ban, allowing myself only to pay to get to and from work, because you know what..?? A healthy bank account isn't a bad thing!

Enough about being sensible with money lets get into that haul.

The weather has been shockingly nice for the past few days in England, so it means my optimistically bought Sunglasses from Tiger, were well worth the purchase. They only cost £4, and come in a variety of styles, rayban esque, cat eye, aviators... lets be honest I want some more. I do love sunglasses. I went for some which are Rayban esque (dupe here ladies and gentlemen) and for these John Lennon ones.

 Hippie Trousers
These are going to be amazing to wear either on cooler summer days or in the evenings, they go with most of the items in my March Haul, the pattern is what some may call fun, but the best bit THE COMFORT is real.

Finally. . .

Fitness bits, I'm going to be brief as I will be writing a whole post about this. But I'm starting to seriously workout, and I needed a few bits... so I popped down to Sports Direct so I wouldn't be breaking the bank, this stuff ain't cheap.

January Favourites

Hello, the first month of 2015 has just about been and gone. What a month it has been! Here are my favourites.

Cat Mug

This featured in my Tiger Haul, every evening it is my go to mug for Chai Latte, it fits so much in. Plus its darn cute, an awesome purchase for just £2. Im now waiting for the rest of the Cat line to come in, as I am One crazzzyyy cat lady.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

I didn't know what to expect from this book, I knew it would be good as it's so popular. I didn't feel sorry for Hazel, she didn't want my sympathy, she is a girl just trying to live her life, despite cancer holding her back, yet she still pushes forward. A good read, with a sharp turn.

Macbook Pro

Firstly it is nice to have my own laptop again. I have been saving up for a Mac for a while now, I haven't unlocked its full potential yet. The Apple way is very different from the Windows what can I say. Not too much to say here.

Orange is the New Black

January was the month I got the Netflix free trial, what a dangerous thing that is. Hollie showed me the first episode go OITNB last summer, and i've been dying to watch another episode ever since. The show I find to be really interesting seeing how different people cope in an enclosed environment, their every move being watched. But it's also fast paced and highly addictive. I binged watched season 1 more quickly than I'd care to admit. Then I got through season 2 even quicker. I can't wait for season 3 to come out.

Suits

Another Netflix favourite, this is about a law firm  Pearson Hardman, Mike Ross gets hired to be Harvey Spector's (Senior Partner), slight hitch Mike has no qualification but due to his photographic memory, he knows the theory he would've learnt at Law School, but with no practical experience. Throughout he has to convince the law firm he has been to Harvard, with only limited people knowing. But how long can he keep it a secret? That's only part of it.

Tiger Haul | January

January Book: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green Page Number: 196

Hello, there is just something about the things we sell in Tiger that I can't avoid buying a few bits and pieces every so often.

One thing I particularly like to buy are cards, because there are just totally random things on them, but very pleasing to the eye I got two quirky ones and two pretty ones. They are very good value, and I am not just saying that trust me they are.

After spending way too long last week organising and colour coding sweets, I broke and I had to buy (i had to..) some Raspberry Lollipops, I couldn't help myself, they just looked so tantalising.

I've been thinking for a while that some moustache and stripy was necessary in my life, for wrapping presents or just taping anything I can think to tape, with reason.

I had ran out of paper to write stuff on at my desk, so I headed to the stationary section where I found a cheesecake memo pad. Perfect.

As I mentioned in my last post I am now the proud owner of a Macbook (still trying to suss it out) but I wanted to get some kind of sleeve/case for it. One of the 'campaigns' currently at Tiger is 'Glad' Designs which I am in love with. So I purchased one of the sleeves, I find it very aesthetically pleasing.

Finally the item I am most pleased with is my new beautiful mug, it is deceivingly big, one its own it does not look big, perfect for a massive mug of hot chocolate or chai latte. I love the cat design as it curves round the mug, ah its just nice isn't it.

With everything in Tiger there isn't a definite use for it, but you'll be able to find a use for it in your life.

Tiger Haul

Hello! I better start by explaining what Tiger is, which isn't the easiest task. It is a Danish Variety Store, expanding through the UK and the rest of the world. I work for my local store so I expect these will keep popping up on the blog oops. We sell anything from Moustache Hangers to Colanders. The mission is to sell a variety of on trend and innovative designed products. Despite the amazing value for money we are no discount store, the focus is design and quality products, which will make customers smile. ANYWAY, onto what I got.

(Starting ^) Batteries £1, Tea light candle holders £1, Tube Squeezer £1, 100 Tea lights £3, Heart Notebook £2, Pillar Candles £1
*Danish Cookies could also been pictured, but I ate them oops*

I've recently gotten into the whole candle thing, something I did not think would happen, which is perfect considering there is a whole wall dedicated to Candles in Tiger, side note which is very instagram worthy! For me the best section has to be the stationary/office section, as it has so many good bits and pieces, another time I will be picking up some more bits and pieces. I am so pleased Tiger has come to Norwich, and that I have a chance to work there.
