3 Outfits from January | Fashion

January a somewhat meh month, Christmas is over, but there is a chance for new beginnings. As usual I am sharing some of my work outfits of the month, I have tried to dress cheerfully to help avoid the January blues.

I have linked everything that I can, but most of this is old stuff restyled.

13th January (Blue Monday)
Hoody Jack Wills Trousers River Island, Converse Office

14th  January
Jumper Old, Skirt ASOS, Converse

22nd January
Leopard Print Shirt Charity Shop, Jeans Topshop, Converse

As you can see this month, I have tried to avoid falling in the traps of wearing grey and camoflauging against the grey drearyness of this month. Colour and pattern is always sure to cheer my up!

Party Dress Wishlist 🎄

If Christmas/New Years isn't the time to rocking party dresses when is?! I have pulled together some of my favourites from across the internet.

Out with the girls

I feel like for going out with girls you can wear something a little bit more out there and interesting. So this is the exciting pink number I would go for.

A festive Dinner

This is my most casual dress. For a dinner, you want something with a bit of stretch which is comfy. The tartan is festive and would look perfect with a matte red lip and gold eyeshadow.

The LBD

If you're stuck, you can never go wrong with a Little Black Dress. This one is such a classy shape, and the leather gives it more of an edgy vibe.

Fancy Party

Does the green not just scream festivities?! This is perfect for posher and fancy events, its classy AF.

Throwing a spanner in the works - the suit.
There are velvet suits all over the market and topshop have some great ones. However this paisley one from Monsoon has really caught my eye and I have been swooning over this. for quite sometime.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you tomorrow!

August Favourites

Hello, today I am re-introducing the monthly favourites to this corner of the internet. I feel like non of my favourites will quite compare to my Edinburgh trip, but I've already written 3 posts on that! So this post will be more "things" based.

In my current random favourites I wrote briefly about How to Get Away With Murder, I am now as up to date as I can be whilst be in the UK, and being all legit with my viewing. I binged the whole of series 2 early this month, and I think that was the most intense thing I've EVER watched, but it was so great. A brief summary, Annalise Keeting is a defence attorney/law professor who teaches the class 'how to get away with murder', she picks 5 students a year to work for her. She and her students become entwined in the cover up of Annalise's husband's murder. This is definitely the best thriller tv show I have ever watched. Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix and season 3 is showing on Sky Living Thursday's at 9pm.

On a lighter note...

One of my fashion favourites this month has been this rather statement t-shirt from HM. When I saw this in the shop, it was a magpie moment. Except I'm not a magpie and there was no glittering jewellery being stolen. I just had to had this, I feel it has that gucci vibe and I'm quite frankly obsessed with this t-shirt.

I have been searching for a replacement denim skirt for the longest time, I didn't want one of those button up ones, because they simply do not suit my kim k bootay and the buttons pull no matter how much I over size. I actually saw this skirt on a Tanya Burr haul, this skirt has the same A-line shape and wraps over, making it super flattering. Yasss found a denim skirt I actually like and don't feel frumpy in.

And those are my brief favourites for this month!

Fashion Favourites | Summer 17

Hello! As usual a lot of time has passed since my last favourites post. It's been a funny old summer, but here's what I have been loving regardless

Fashion - looking below I am very much into my trends this summer.
Gingham
Let me introduce to you, my most worn item this Summer the Gingham Dress, I am obsessed with it, and will wear it multiple times in a week - and when it is in the wash, I have no clue what to wear. I also think this will transition nicely into winter, with tights, boots and a nice burgundy cardi.

Red

Red is everywhere, literally pops and splashes of it everywhere. You can see my beloved red loafers in my gingham picture. And also this Red denim jacket which as a new edition to my wardrobe this month. Love it.

Slogan t-shirts

I have always loved a good slogan, but slogan t-shirts have exploded left, right and (you guessed it) centre. This one has to be my favourite, it just simply states Girls Rule and has a lovely rose on it. I like tucking it into a denim skirt or into a tailored trouser.

Statement earrings

If you want to add an easy bit of drama to any outfit, statement earrings are just the way to go. There are so many cray cray earrings out there, I am sure you can find the ones for you, from a large gold hoop to the fluffiest of pom pom.

January Wishlist 2017

Helloooo! I think it has been about 783 years since I last did a wishlist, which is crazy as it once was a monthly thing. Everything on this wishlist is definitely tailored to my 'smart casual' work wear uniform.

This is definitely at the casual end of, smart casual. You can never go wrong with a pair of black jeans, they are a wardrobe must have. I would either wear these with a shirt or a nice jumper.

2. Shirt

A nice segue there, this could be the shirt I pair with the jeans above to bring the outfit into the realms of smart casual. I've really wanted a nice smart shirt ever since InTheFrow featured one in an Asos haul not too long ago.

I have an extensive knitwear collection, it takes up far too much of my wardrobe! I haven't got a nice snuggly grey jumper - I find this very alarming, so I must rectify the situation.

I bought a blue checked shirt dress in a similar cut to this one. It is easily one of my most worn pieces from last year. A denim shirt dress is a classic piece and would be in my wardrobe for years.

June Favourites

Hello, another month is now coming to an end. Just a heads up July is massively busy work wise, so the blog may be slightly neglected, but I am hoping for lots of content come August with my LA trip coming up. Enough of that lets look back at the month of June.

Asos Stripey T-shirt w/ eyes

This is essentially a Lazy Oaf rip off, but hey everywhere is doing it and it was like £9 in the sale. I have been wearing it all of the time, so much in fact that when I wanted to photograph it for this post, it wasn't quite in the state to be doing that. Outfit post coming soon to show you how I style it.

How to get away with Murder

A law/crime series on Netflix, starring Viola Davis with crippling twists and turns, outstanding acting leaves you aching to find out what happens next. Season 1 stops on such a cliff hanger, and I urgently require the appearance of Season 2, PLEASE. Best TV show I've watched this year.

Orange is the New Black - Season 4

Anyone else waited a whole year for season 4 praying it would be better than season 3. This series was significantly more dark and intense then the previous 3. Definitely my favourite yet. Without spoiling the ending, I had to lie in my bed in silence gathering my feelings so I could carry on with life.

Tom O'dell The Wrong Crowd

I cannot stop listening to his, its going to be the soundtrack of my summer. The next time I'm near HMV I'm picking up a CD to have in my cat, thats when you can tell I really like an album. At the moment I think my favourite song is Sparrow, but that changes on a daily basis.

My Favourite Photo

This photo is from the start of June, when we had a spontaneous picnic between shows and the weather was perfect!

ASOS Polo Neck - Queen of Naps

Hello, today I'm showing you one of my favourite recent outfits. This is one way in which I style my Queen of Naps sweat shirt which was featured in my last post.

This is a super casual outfit, but yet I think its quite cool with the ripped jeans and my mono white converse.

My coat is easily my favourite element of this outfit. I'd been wanting the perfect parka for ever. This one is from Topshop and unfortunately is not available online anymore, but they might still have it on  sale rails. I love the massive fur lined hood, I feel like I'm walking round in a sleeping bag and its fabulous.

January Favourites

Hello! I'm posting this a little on the late side, I feel like I've done quite a few 'look back' posts in January. I've linked what I can if your like the look of anything ☺️

My beauty favourite for this month is the Sephora Matte lip cream in 01. When people like Amelia Liana started taking about it I was immediately sold, and had it on the mental beauty wish list in my head. Finally I got my hands on it when Grace returned from the motherland of Sephora (USA). I talked about this in my lipstick collection, here.

Fashion favourite of the month has to be my 'Queen of Naps' sweatshirt. It's perfect to wear when you want to be comfy, but still look relatively stylish.

Accessory wise its my pineapple Skinny Dip phone case, cliche as hell, but look how cute it is! I totally didn't get this pink iPhone because I knew it would look nice with this case...

My music favourite is the 'This Girl Can' playlist on Spotify, which was put together by Pippa Hamilton. Which I have been using whilst I'm at the gym it has a huge range of styles and is perfect to keep me going.

DVD favourite is Michael McIntyre's 'Happy and Glorious'. He has been my favourite comedian for years and never ceases to make me laugh.

The book I'd been reading in January was 'The Woman in the Picture' by Katherine McMahon. Its about Evelyn a lawyer in London during the 1920's. Its one of the best books I have rest in the past few months.

My final favourite was Trader Joe's Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte. When I unwrapped this at Christmas I was so excited, I immediately put on the kettle. Its well known I'm a big fan of the PSL, for the time being I can have it all year round.

And that's it! Thanks for popping by!

Typical Uni Outfit | Blogmas Day 5

Hello, today I thought I would post something a little more up to date.

In case any of you were interested in what I wear for uni, or if anyone out there is going to uni next year and just want to know what you could wear.

Some people make a lot of effort when going into Uni, even for the dreaded 9am lecture. The look I tend to go for is just rolled out of bed and comfortable, because I value those extra 20/30minutes in bed!

I'm not going to lie I look dang rough in these haha, and had to crop out my bedside table!
What exactly are you wearing you say? Well, I'm wearing my Strawberry Hat from River island ages ago, My Topshop Parka (now in the sale), A jumper you can't see, American Apparel Leggings, Asos Backpack, and White Mono Leather Converse.
If you want a super warm and cosy coat, this one is so fab. I am not aware of weather conditions, its like wearing a sleeping bag without looking like an idiot. In my opinion it is the perfect parka.
I hope you appreciate Mark Franko's Martha Graham in Love and War book I am holding in an attempt to look semi clever. Unfortunately for me, this is my life at the moment!

June Wishlist | Parisian Inspiration

Hello! The last two month's wish lists have had themes and I have found them a lot more fun. In May I bought a new red lipstick, my brain was suddenly like I want to feel continental more specifically Parisian so this is what I've come up. Some of the items are PROPER PROPER wish list items, because they're a little bit pricey (a lottle bit).

I've never been to Paris, nor left the UK for that matter, so my idea of Parisian style definitely falls into a bit of cliche. Saying that a classic, sleek, chic outfit is never a bad idea. The key item in this outfit is the Striped dress and I wanted that to be vocal point, from there I built around it. I feel the coat is the perfect summer throw on coat as it looks super light weight. I went minimalist for the shoes with a simple black heeled sandal. Onto the pricey items, this bag by Karl Lagerfeld, incase you've been living under a rock he is the Head Designer and Creative Director of Chanel, his own line has similar items to Chanel at a minorly less expensive price, I could've easily have put the 2.55 quilted bag as part of this outfit, but you know. Finally in my opinion, a pair of sunglasses and I went for these from Chanel. All of this of course paired with my new red lipstick!

May Wishlist | Festival Edition

Hello! It's May and that means, Big Weekend wooooooooo! Yes that woo required that many 'o's. This will not surprise anyone who knows me but I've never been to a festival, nor do I really attend gigs and what not < see I say and what not. Case closed. I do however need something to wear on the 24th of May, so cue ASOS browsing.

1. Elephant Shorts
2. Rain Mac
3. Mixed Print Jogger
4. Crochet Back Top

1. I'm not going to lie, I despise my legs, so I avoid wearing Denim shorts as I feel they really constrict me, and make me feel VERY self conscious. If I am to wear shorts they must be either very soft or loose, which these look like they might be. Plus they have elephants on them, so thats cool.
2. I am under no elusion that this is Coachella, so baring that in mind I did browse some Rain Macs, but most of them are very expensive, until I found this beauty on Missguided at a more pleasing price of £40. Still not sure I will invest, can a blonde wear yellow?
3. Fun printed joggers are going to be my thing this spring/summer and how freaking fun are these? I keep looking at these, just typing this.
4. I am aware I have plenty of white/cream tops, but ignore that. This would be so nice to wear when I do a plaited up do of some kind, that is my thought with this one.

April Wishlist

Hello! Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. Easter is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Christ. Easter and Spring are symbols of new beginnings with baby animals (my faves being the lambs bouncing around in the fields) and flowers - daffodils, tulips, snowdrops, iris' and crocus' to name a couple. This spring I am thinking about getting my Butt into gear and sorting my fitness out, over the first few months I have been an utter slob sitting around and eating. To kickstart my motivation I've been looking at gym wear, trainers and what not!

I think I know where this months pay will be spent...

March Wishlist

March Book: Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher Page Number:100

Hello! We've been in March for a little while now, as I do every month its time for my wishlist, this month definitely has a distinctively more spring like feel, which it should do really, winter *fingers crossed* is moving around us. Despite loving winter clothing with all the different layers and textures, I want to be able to walk around outside without feeling cold.

1. How stunning is the skirt? Its ugh divine in its beauty, I can't stop thinking about this skirt. BEAUTIFUL.
2. As a Brit one must always be prepared for the weather, this would be perfect for those inevitable drizzly days, keeping my perfectly dry and brightening up the day all at once. However I'm not sure about yellow and blonde hair you get me?
3. The print on these joggers drew my eye to these initially, its very pretty and would easily slot in to my wardrobe and are a good price as well.
4. I can see this just being a staple for the whole of spring/summer and come in lots of lovely colours.
