Cookies

These are the cookies I made for an 18th birthday party of two of my bestest friends which I have known for as long as I can remember. The recipe actually came from one of my birthday presents the Great British Bake Off Showstoppers Book which you can get here. Before making these I'd never made cookies from scratch, but just using things such as this, understanbly I was abit nervous, but they came out AMAZINGLY, and everyone loved them!! What could be better???

VS

I don't know about you but, I always browse the Jack Wills website thinking how lovely everything is, however everything is ridiculously expensive, apart from my friend who is silly enough to pay their prices?? So I thought it would be cool to do a vs post. This jumper is lovely from Jack Wills, it maybe lambswool, but surely it is not worthwhile paying £129 for it?!?! Here we have a lovely specimen from H&M, it may not be exactly the same, but it is the same kind of thing :a Christmassy knit wear item, and at only £24.99 it is much better value for money (over £100 less!).

Wishlist #7 Coats

1. This is your classic green parka coat and there are loads out there at the moment from Primark to high end. This specimen is from ASOS, I have never really bought anything from there before as I like to try things on first -  maybe this could be a first?!

2. Topshop, what would a wishlist be without it?? I really like this coat and the plus its petite, so it won't look like a kid dressing up in their parents clothes. No more rolling up sleeves. Quite often I find shops either don't have a petite section or they are abit short on clothes (unintended pun there), which is totally unfair!!

3.I have wanted a faux fur coat for ages, especially when Harriet got one, I was very jealous and sang the creulla d'evil song whenever she wore it, but secretly I was jealous. However I am very nervous about how theatrical I would look :/.

4.Quilted Jackets have been all over the place but mainly like this one which doesn't suit me, now I am glad they have been bothered to give them shape and structure, so if I were to get one I wouldn't look like a box!!

Lush Stuff

All pictures from Lush.

These are more of the presents my amazing friends gave me, and I feel thoroughly spoiled!!

Creamy Candy Bath
Oh my, this literally smells so good, I can't tell you. I'm not very good at describing smells but its a typical lush smell. Gaaaahhh it is GORGEOUS!!

Honey Farm Gift Set
This has lots of different amazing products.
Honey I Washed the Kids soap
My hands have never smelt so good, and the scent lingures long after you have washed them.

Butterball Bath Ballistic and Honey Bee Bath Ballistic
These bath ballistics have a very subtle smell, and I'm looking forward to trying them especially the Butterball one, because it's vanilla scented and I love the smell of Vanilla.

It's Raining Men shower gel
I could eat this - it smells that good, it would be very easy to mistake it for toffee or caramel and start eating it. I'm not sure that would be wise though!

Soft Coeur Massage Bar
Right this is what Lush says 'Melt the natural butters, honey and cocoa in your hands for a sensual - if rather sticky -  massage. Lick it off if you dare!' However I didn't quite get it right, I'm not sure having cold hands helped? Again it smells yummy!!!

Pretty Polish

This post features my new nail polish that I received from my lovely friends on my birthday!

First it the nail polish I'm wearing right now, both Barry M products. The lilac one is 308 Berry, which has been one of my favourites over the summer months, and 337 Pink Silver Glitter which I have used as a top coat, I was given this by the lovely Harriet.

Also received from Harriet are these two. 331 Chameleon Blue, this is one of those colour change ones if you apply a clear top coat. And the other is 273 Raspberry, which is just the most gorgeous red colour. I cannot wait to use either of these!! Thank you!

My final nail polish is another birthday present - again from Barry M!! 328 Magnetic Blue, this one I have already tried, it is so easy to use!! I love the pattern it makes, and people who see it think you're amazing at nail art when perhaps you're not. The only downside is that you can't retouch it.

Finally a couple of pics from London Town

Outfit Post Birthday Dress

On Friday it was my 18th (gasp) birthday. And this is the dress that I wore for my partaayyy. I think this is my favourite dress of all time, and it earned me a load of confidence ( at least I hope it wasn't just because it was my birthday, and people were being nice to me).

Wishlist #6 Wellies

1. I don't know about you, but when I think about wellies, I think about Hunter. I don't know why, although it is probably because I mistake myself for someone of wealth! I am a fan of their short wellys and they're pink without being too pink!

2. I have had my eye on these for quite a while. When looking for wellies I do like them with abit of a pattern, without being too in your face.

3. These are making an appearance just to show you a more 'classic' wellie.

4. Who knew amazon sold wellies and other shoes? I like these for the same reason as I like the ones from Joules, they are understated but not boring!

After writing this I have decided there really ought to be a set way of spelling welly/wellie!!

Autumnal Telly

TV at this time of year is hands down my favourite, it is like in mid-august the telly comes alive. These are my personal favourites of what is on/coming up at the moment.

Doctor Who = Classic. This is something all of the family enjoys, which in my household is a MIRACLE! It isn't great if you're a scaredy cat like me, especially when the weeping angels appear, but I will not miss out on the nations favourite programme. Although I'll never forget the nightmares I had about the 'are you my mummy' episodes!

The Great British Bake Off. I love this programme. For someone who loves baking it is so inspirational, and gives me so many ideas of what to make next. My favourite section has to be the show-stopper section, this week the layered meringues was very tense - what method would work best French, Italian or Swiss?? I feel I always get behind the bakers, this week poor little John was heart broken nothing seemed to go his way, but he still made it through. This year there has definitely been some eye candy cue John and James ...

I have been watching Strictly Come Dancing from the beginning, when Natasha and Brendan won the first series. Now I was gutted when Arlene Phillips left the show, but even more so when I found out Alesha was replacing her. I'm not sure about the new judge Darcey Bussel, yes she was a prima Ballerina, but wouldn't it be better to have an ex-professional dancer who was on the show such as Karen Hardy or Camilla Dallerup, who a)knows about Ballroom and b)has experienced the show? Rant over!! Strictly starts again on the 15th, and I can't wait to see what celebrities they have lined up!

Keeping up with the Kardashians - oh boy. A guilty pleasure? I don't know, but I can't stop watching it. There isn't that much to say apart from its amusing?!?

Wishlist #5 Bags!!

4. The Pastel  - Lilac
Right, another wishlist!

1. Can I just say this? I freakin' love Cath Kidston, is this clear!! My Cath Kidston collection is slowly growing I have a couple of bags and other bits and bobs. The main thing stopping the obsession is a lack of funds, which in the long run is probably a good thing?!? Anyway about the bag, as with 99.999999999% of Cath Kidston bags the print is gorgeous, with it being a darker colour than some of their bags it is perfect for the upcoming winter months.

2. A couple of years ago a ruck sack was a no no, and should have never been seen, unless you were on a D of E expedition! I remember when I started high school I was mortified lugging my rucksack to and from school. But now they are making a come back in style, and I have made a total U-turn on my opinion of them, AND I actually like them - well as long as they are cute like this one.

3. I have never owned a tan hand bag, and have been looking round the internet, browsing many sites trying to find one, and to be honest I'm not impressed by the selection. In my opinion this is the best of bunch. Can you guys suggest anything better??

4. Just take a second to look at this ah-mazing bag ... Yes I think my heart just skipped a beat!! This is from the Cambridge Satchel Company, depending on the size of the satchel they cost from £105 to £115. This is definitely an investment. But if you are canny you can get a good quality look a like, or an actual on Ebay, for a percentage of the price. A couple of years back I got a red one for about £25, and well I love it.

Summer Holiday

(11 days till my birthday, I'm not counting :))

(Too cute found him buried in the garden)

(Cromer Pier)

This has been quite a weird holiday, because at the start I knew I had the pressures of year 13 at school coming up. With Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Studies, I think petrified covered how I was feeling. Now as people who know me, will know Science isn't my thing, I'm a theatre girl. So I have done something radical, I'm moving school, I'm starting year 12 again, AND I'm taking theatre related subjects. - As much as my family thinks that I am doing this becasue I don't want to grow up, it is merely one of the by-products of going back a year! #delaying adulthood

Also the weather has been crap varied. Lovely hot sunny weather one day, the next miserble and rainy!! The first spell of hot weather, I could not enjoy, as I was at dance summer school covered in sweat (nice). But the few other spells we've had I have enjoyed at the beach with my mummy, or hanging out with friends.

Now the holiday is over I now have the prospect of TWO more years at school!! aahh
